Gizem Vural

Gizem studies Graphic Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She was born in İstanbul in 1988. She has been into playing the piano, art and ballet since she was 3. Until the age of 12, she went to a couple of drawing and dance classes and taught herself how to play the piano. She also had a strong interest in languages and even though she was studying foreign languages, she eventually decided to apply to an Art faculty as her interest in Art had never left her. After the start of her university course, she got into illustration, especially minimalist illustration and using texture. She continued studying graphics and now creates animations too. Even though she doesn’t really have the time, she also tries to make minimal music… Basically she’s still trying to create her own world, trying to add new things to her everyday life. And if all that wasn’t enough, she’s also learning Japanese and Chinese…

Lovisa Hedman

My name is Lovisa Hedman. I'm a childish, 23 year old girl who (except drawing) enjoys baking cookies and playing computer games.
I live in the northernmost of Sweden, in a smalltown called Piteaa. Most of the year we have snow here, just a couple of months summer.In the winter the days are short, maybe a few hours of daylight. The rest is of the day is like night. It can get quite cold too, -42 degrees Celcius.

I have been drawing since I could hold a pen and I usually draw "childrens-book-like"-pictures. Sometimes japanese manga-style.
It's my fourth and final year at Luleaa University of Technologies, where I study to be an Illustrator. My own business as a freelancer is taking form and I hope someday I can support myself doing what I love.

Jessica Ward

Jessica Ward was born in Agana, Guam in 1982. She grew up around the world because her father was an Air Force officer. She attended Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan and received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art-Drawing with a minor in Illustration. Jessica’s art work is about eating disorders. She uses mixed media such as graphite, color pencils and water color. She now resides in Los Angeles, California with her husband where she continues to create art work.
